The A90 has reopened after one person was airlifted to hospital and a second taken to hospital by ambulance after a two-vehicle crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision near Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, at 10.20am on Wednesday.
One patient was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary while another was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.
The ambulance service dispatched multiple vehicles to the scene with Police Scotland also in attendance.
A number of roads were closed including between Laurencekirk and North Water Bridge with drivers urged to avoid the area.
Officers confirmed the A90 re-opened around 7.20am on Thursday.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.22am to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A90 near Laurencekirk.
“We dispatched two ambulances, three special operations response teams, a trauma team, and one air ambulance to the scene.
“One patient was transported to Ninewells Hospital by road and one patient was transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by air ambulance.”
A Police Scotland statement on Thursday read: “The A90 near Laurencekirk has re-opened following a two vehicle crash at 10.20am on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
