The A96 has been closed in both directions after a two-vehicle crash, with drivers urged to avoid the area.
Emergency services were called to the crash between Forres and Nairn around 7.30am on Monday.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area and to expect delays in their journey.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A96, between Forres and Nairn, is closed in both directions following a crash involving two vehicles.
“Motorists are asked to avoid the area, and diversions are in place.
“Anyone making a journey is asked to allow additional time. Emergency services remain on the scene.”
