Aberdeen Football Club legends Drew Jarvie and Willie Garner have helped to raise more than £6000 to support people with hearing and visual impairments.
The pair took part in a question-and-answer fundraising lunch for North East Sensory Services (NESS).
The ‘Dine with the Dons’ event at Aberdeen’s Chester Hotel was hosted by BBC sports presenter and Aberdeen fan Richard Gordon.
Garner stepped in at the last minute after fellow ex-Don Joe Harper was unable to attend.
The successful event raised £6260, which will help NESS continue to support people with sensory loss in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas.
Graham Findlay, chief executive of North East Sensory Services, said: “We’re hugely grateful to Drew and Willie for attending the event and chatting about their time playing for Aberdeen, and to Richard for keeping us entertained throughout.
“Everyone who attended had a brilliant experience.
“The event has raised a fantastic sum of money that will help us continue to support people with sensory impairment across the north-east, ensuring they can live independent lives.”
