A man and woman have been arrested in connection with an assault following the death of a man in Aberdeen.
Emergency services raced to the scene in Rosehill Crescent at around 10.45pm on Saturday May 27 following a report of concern for a 39-year-old male.
He was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he died shortly after.
A 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman are now being held, police confirm.
Rosehill Crescent was cordoned off for several hours with officers continuing to carry out enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.45pm on Saturday, 27 May, 2023, police received a report of concern for a 39-year-old man within a property on Rosehill Crescent in Aberdeen.
“The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.
“A 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with an assault and enquiries are ongoing.
“The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) and the Police Investigation and Review Commissioner (PIRC) have been informed and it would therefore be inappropriate to comment further.”
