A man has been taken to hospital following a one-car crash in Aberdeen.

The 39-year-old was given a fixed penalty notice in connection with a driving offence following the incident in Dyce.

Officers cordoned off part of Stoneywood Road on Saturday afternoon while the vehicle was recovered.

The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment on minor injuries before being penalised for the offence.

Police Scotland said no one else was injured in the crash.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 3.35pm on Saturday, August 26, we were called to a report of a one-car crash on Stoneywood Road at Wellheads Park, Aberdeen.

“Emergency services attended and a 39-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

“He was given a fixed penalty notice in connection with a road traffic offence.”
