A body has been found in the search for a man reported missing from Aberdeenshire.
Jonathan Parsons, known as Jay, was last seen in Yule Square in Huntly around 7.15am on Thursday, July 3.
The 40-year-old’s vehicle was later found at Battle Hill car park in the town.
Police have confirmed that the body of a man was discovered near to Kinnoir Woods, Huntly at around 9.30pm on Friday July 11.
Formal identification has still to take place however Jonathan’s family has been informed.
The death is not believed to be suspicious. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A statement from Police Scotland read: “We thank the public for their assistance in the search for Jay while it was ongoing.”
