An Aberdeenshire social care worker has been struck off after being found guilty of sexually assaulting two colleagues.

Vasudev Narula was convicted at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on June 3, 2024 under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.

Narula was found to have “seized hold” of and “repeatedly” kissed two female colleagues in three separate incidents between April 1 and June 10, 2023.

A Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) report into the incidents stated that the convictions are “fundamentally incompatible” with remaining on the professional register.

The SSSC found that Narula showed “no insight, regret or apology” for his behaviour.

It concluded that a striking off was the most appropriate action “to protect the public and uphold standards of conduct expected of social service workers”.

The removal order came into effect on November 7, 2024.
