Perthshire-born actor Alan Cumming is voicing the anniversary show at the Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry.

The star has recorded a series of voice performances for the production Stop The Clock: The 25th Hour, to mark the event’s 25th anniversary.

The annual sound and light experience is held in Faskally Wood in Pitlochry.

Gordon Morrison, Chief Executive of The Enchanted Forest Community Trust, said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Alan has joined us for our 25th anniversary year.

“To have one of Scotland’s most recognised and celebrated creative voices become part of The Enchanted Forest is a huge moment for the event and a wonderful way to mark this milestone.”

It’s as Cumming recently returned as Artistic Director of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

He’s also set to star alongside fellow Scot Ewan McGregor in a stage adaptation of the critically acclaimed film Supernova, which will run at Pitlochry Film Festival Theatre next summer.

The actor said: “I think we could all do with an extra hour now and then! It was lovely to use mine to support The Enchanted Forest and help with its special anniversary.

“For a wee town, Pitlochry punches above its weight for creativity. The idea behind this year’s Enchanted Forest is wonderfully imaginative, and it was enormous fun to become part of that story.”

The Enchanted Forest runs from October 8 to November 8.
