An appeal has been launched after a man was found seriously injured in a close in Dundee.
The 37-year-old was found with serious head and facial injuries in Balmore Street, Stobswell, by a member of the public at around 9.30am on Friday.
Emergency services were called, and the man was taken to Ninewells Hospital where medical staff have described his injuries as serious but stable.
Police officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to a man that could assist with the investigation.
He is described as around 5ft 10ins in height and of slim build and was wearing khaki trousers, a black top and a red baseball cap.
Detective sergeant Craig Kelly, said: “We are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and how this man has came about his injuries.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed anything significant, or who has information that may help us, to please get in touch.
“Our early enquiries have established that there was a man seen in Balmore Street who may have information that will assist us and we are keen to trace him as soon as possible. I’d urge him to contact us.
“Anyone with any information that could assist should contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 0821 of June 3.”
