Appeal launched as man taken to hospital after assault on street

A man was taken to hospital after being seriously assaulted on a Perth road.

Emergency services were called to Rannoch Road, between 9pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, after a 35-year-old man was attacked.

He was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.

His current condition is unknown.

Officers are continuing to investigate the incident and have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Detective Constable Danielle Irvine of CID said: “Our enquiries are ongoing.

“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or who was in the area at the time and who may have any information which could assist to contact us.”
