A new case of avian flu has been detected at a farm in Aberdeenshire.
Around 35 birds, mainly ducks, are to be culled at the premises near Inverurie.
The Scottish Government’s chief veterinary officer has reassured the public over the risk to human health.
Sheila Voas told STV News: “There is no reason for people to worry about this, it is avian flu but it’s avian flu affecting birds.
“Some strains of avian flu can affect humans but this one is not adapted to do so.
“So really there’s no cause for the general public to be concerned about it.”
