A blind dog that struggled to find a forever home is now living her best life with her new owners.
The Scottish SPCA launched an appeal last month to find Miss Piggy a permanent place to stay.
Despite being lovely and affectionate, the animal welfare charity said the Patterdale-terrier cross was continually overlooked due to her condition.
But now, the newly renamed Missy is having the time of her life after being adopted from the Scottish SPCA’s Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
The Scottish SPCA said: “Missy has settled so well into her new home and spends most of her time on someone’s lap.
“She is always giving them cuddles and kisses and sleeps all night between them.
“Her new owners have found that she is completely housetrained and will wait by the door between her walks.
“She absolutely loves meeting other humans and is learning slowly how to be friends with other dogs.
“Missy’s new owners told us they would love for people to see how wonderful it can be to rehome a special wee dog.
“They have had her for less than three weeks, and Missy has already changed their lives for the better.”
