A block of flats in Dundee has been evacuated as firefighters tackle a blaze.
Police Scotland confirmed residents at a block in Lansdowne Square have been evacuated from their homes after a fire broke out around 9.50am on Thursday morning.
Emergency services, including crews from four fire appliances, were in attendance.
There are no reported injuries, but nearby residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed where possible.
STV NewsA Police Scotland statement read: “Lansdowne Square in Dundee is closed due a fire at a block of flats, which was reported around 9.50am on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
“Emergency services are in attendance, and there are no reported injuries.
“The building has been evacuated as a precaution.
“People living nearby are advised to keep windows and doors closed where possible.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.31am on Thursday, February 12 to reports of a dwelling fire in Dundee.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the city’s Lansdowne Square, where firefighters remain working to make the area safe.
“There are no reported casualties.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “Today we attended an incident on Lansdowne Square in Dundee.
“We received the call at 9.44am our first resource arrived on scene within five minutes.
“We dispatched a number of resources to the scene, including our special operations team (SORT), and assisted our colleagues at Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
“All crews cleared at 1.26pm.”
