A body has been found amid the search for a woman who disappeared overnight in Moray.
Mary Fraser was last seen in the Dean Terrace area of Lossiemouth around 8am on Tuesday.
A car which she had access to was later discovered on Inchbroom Road.
Police have now confirmed the body of a woman has been found amid the search for the 57-year-old.
Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of Ms Fraser has been informed.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The body of a woman has been found in Lossiemouth during searches for a missing person.
“She is yet to be formally identified but the family of Mary Fraser, 57, who had been reported missing in the area has been informed.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
