A body has been found in the search for a man who was last seen 11 days ago.
John McNeil was reported missing on December 27 and was last seen on Stanley Crescent in Perth city centre around 9.10pm on the same day.
Extensive searches were carried out to trace the 52-year-old, with the public urged to check outhouses and sheds.
Police confirmed a body was found near the River Tay to the south of Perth around 11.25am on Tuesday.
Formal identification is still to take place, but Mr McNeil’s family have been informed.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
