A probe is under way after a body was found on a beach near a Fife golf club.
Police were called to the scene near Anstruther Golf Club at around 6.40am on Friday, March 10.
It is currently unknown if any suspicious circumstances surround the death, and enquiries are ongoing.
A stretch of coastal path between the club and Pittenweem has been taped off by uniformed officers, and there is also no access to the club.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.40 am on Friday, March 10, police were called after a body was found on a beach near the golf club in Anstruther, Fife.
“Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are continuing.”
The club said: “Due to an ongoing incident we have been asked to make everyone aware the stretch of coastal path between the club and Pittenweem is closed.
“There is also no access to the course at this time.”
