The body of a man has been recovered from a river in Angus.
The 51-year-old’s body was pulled from the River North Esk at Edzell just before 11pm on Sunday night.
Police Scotland confirmed that there were no “suspicious circumstances” surrounding the death and that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The identity of the man has yet to be confirmed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The body of a 51-year-old man was recovered from the River North Esk at Edzell around 10.55pm on Sunday, November 19.
“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
