A body has been recovered from a river amid a search for a missing woman from Elgin.
Police said a body was recovered from the River Lossie on Monday evening.
The body is believed to be that of Rae Robertson, who disappeared from Brodie Drive at around 10pm on Saturday, January 18.
Formal identification has yet to take place but the 48-year-old’s family have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a body of a female was found in the River Lossie, Elgin, on the evening of Monday, January 20.
“Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of 48-year-old Rae Robertson, reported missing on Monday, January 20, has been made aware.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
