A Moray beach has been sealed off following the discovery of a World War Two-era weapon.
Bomb disposal specialists were called to Findhorn Beach on Wednesday morning following the discovery.
The public has been asked to avoid the beach and police remain at the scene.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Members of the public are being asked to avoid the Findhorn Beach area, known locally as the road to East Beach, after an unidentified WW2 ordnance was found in the area.
“EOD has been contacted and officers remain at the scene.”
