A seven-year-old boy and his aunt have been rescued after they got into difficulty while paddleboarding.
A rescue operation was launched after the pair fell off the board and could not get back on.
It happened while they were off Broughty Ferry beach, near Dundee, at around 1.30pm on Saturday.
The woman’s father called the coastguard when he saw they were in difficulty.
A kayaker nearby had also gone to their aid and was with them when the Broughty Ferry RNLI inshore lifeboat arrived.
The coastguard said the woman and child were taken to shore in the lifeboat.
The vessel then returned for the kakayer who had taken on some water.
No medical attention was needed.
