STV NewsA 12-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after being injured while sledging in Aberdeenshire.
The youngster had been enjoying the snow at Banchory Golf Club when the incident happened just after 3pm on Wednesday.
He was flown by air ambulance to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital alongside his mother.
A spokesperson for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) said: “A 12-year-old boy was injured in a sledging incident on the golf course in Banchory.
“The SCAA landed near the patient on the golf course and airlifted him to the children’s hospital in Aberdeen along with his mother.”
The boy remained in hospital on Thursday morning.
The Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 3.09pm to attend an incident in Banchory.
“We dispatched one ambulance and an air ambulance to the scene. We airlifted one patient to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital in Aberdeen.”
Police Scotland also confirmed they were called to assist with the helicopter landing at around 4.15pm on Wednesday afternoon.
