A murder trial has been discharged at the High Court in Aberdeen after a defence lawyer withdrew from the case.
The body of 32-year-old Brenda Page was found at her flat in Aberdeen in 1978.
81-year-old Christopher Harrisson – her former husband – denies her murder.
Defence advocate David Moggach withdrew from acting on Harrisson’s behalf due to a breakdown in the client-counsel relationship.
A preliminary hearing to set a new fixed trial date will be held on September 2.
