Angus CouncilA primary school will reopen next week following severe roof damage as a result of Storm Otto.
Burnside Primary in Carnoustie will allow all primary one to seven pupils to return to class from Monday, February 27, after part of the roof was blown off in the winds of up to 80mph on February 17.
Work has been carried out at the site following the significant damage with further construction work still set to take place over the coming weeks.
In a statement Angus Council said: “Some operational changes will be needed to allow the school to re-open and further information relevant to this will be provided directly to our Burnside Primary School families by the Head Teacher as soon as these details are confirmed.
“Children and families should be aware that, while we aim to re-open the building from Monday next week, a programme of repair works will be underway, with construction work taking place on site.”

The school was damaged in the storm along with many areas affected with a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office.
The storm, first to be named this winter, has been labelled Otto by the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI).
