Two men have been charged after a cannabis farm worth £1.5m was seized by police in Aberdeenshire.
Officers made the discovery after executing a search warrant at a premises on Queen Street in Peterhead around midday on Tuesday.
The “large” cannabis cultivation, worth an estimated £1.5m, was discovered within the premises.
Police confirmed two men, aged 25 and 26, have been arrested and charged in connection with the haul.
They are due to appear in Peterhead Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective inspector Rory Campbell said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and we will use all resources at our disposal to disrupt the drugs trade in Scotland.
“Information provided by the public is vital in helping us continue to do this.
“This significant recovery underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
