A car and van crashed into a shopping trolley on the A9 after it was dropped from a road bridge running above the carriageway, police have said.
The vehicles were travelling between Inveralmond and Broxden, in Perth, late on Friday night last week when they sustained “significant damage” in the collision.
They crashed at around 11pm after the trolley, officers believe, was dropped onto the A9 from the A85 Crieff Road where they intersect.
Constable Jack Stirling said: “Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this reckless and dangerous act.
“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the A85 around 11pm on Friday, January 21, who has any information or dash cam footage which may assist us to get in touch.”
