Cancer charity forced to close coffee cart after thieves steal generator

A cancer charity in Aberdeen has been forced to close its coffee cart after being targeted by thieves.

A generator was stolen from the Coffee Box at Westburn Park between 5pm on September 26 and 10.30am on September 27.

The coffee stand is one of the Clan Cancer Support’s main income streams to help provide support for people impacted by cancer.

A police investigation has been launched into the theft with any witnesses urged to come forward.

“We were heartbroken to discover our generator from The Coffee Box at Westburn was stolen”, the charity said in a statement.

“This means we are now unable to operate our Coffee Box in Westburn Park and generate much-needed funds for our cancer support services.

“We’d like to thank Police Scotland for their support and would urge anyone with information on this crime to contact them quoting the incident number below.

“We will be in touch about a plan to reopen the Coffee Box as soon as possible.”
