A search for a missing bodyboarder who was possibly in difficulty off the coast of Aberdeenshire was called off by coastguard rescuers on Thursday night.
Crews from HM Coastguard, Police Scotland, and the RNLI had been called to the scene at around 1.20pm on Thursday following reports of a bodyboarder getting into difficulty in water off Fraserburgh.
The coastguard said the search ended at about 9.15pm on Thursday after it was satisfied no one was missing.
A spokesperson said: “HM Coastguard is satisfied that there is no information to say that anybody is missing and nobody has been reported missing either.”
Police Scotland was contacted for comment.
