A cyclist has been left in hospital “seriously” injured after falling off their bike in Perthshire.
Officers were alerted to the incident in which a male came off his bike on the Culross to Longannet Road near Blair Castle around 4pm on Saturday.
Police confirmed a 67-year-old man sustained “serious” injuries and was taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable.
Officers are hoping to trace a driver who stopped to assist the cyclist.
The force has not established what caused the man to fall from his bike but are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Michael Thomson said: “It is not clear what caused the man to fall from his bike, but he has sustained serious injuries and it’s important we establish the full circumstances.
“I am aware some motorist stopped to assist the cyclist and I am asking them to contact us.
“I am also appealing for anyone with dash cam equipment to check the footage as it could assist our ongoing inquiries.
“If anyone has any information, please call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2626 of May 18, 2024.”
