Adobe StockA dog has died, and a woman has been injured after an attack by an XL Bully dog in Aberdeen.
Police were made aware of a dog, understood to be an XL Bully type, attacking another dog on Greyhope Road around 6.50pm on Wednesday.
One dog died at the scene as a result of its injuries, while a woman suffered a hand injury during the incident.
Another woman will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal, police said.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a dog attacking another dog on Greyhope Road in Aberdeen around 6.50pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
“One dog died at the scene as a result of its injuries.
“A woman suffered an injury to her hand during the incident.
“Another woman will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.”
