Rescue teams were called out to save a dog after it fell from a cliff at an Aberdeenshire harbour.
Coastguard rescue teams from RNLI Macduff were called to the cliffs above Portsoy Harbour at around 11.45am on Wednesday after a dog went over a cliff edge.
Pictures shared with STV News show a lifeboat crew on the scene near the rocky shoreline.
The dog’s was returned safe and well to its owner in a rope rescue by Coastguard Rescue Officers.

A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: “A dog reported to be stranded by the tide on rocks near Marine Terrace at Portsoy harbour was returned safe and well to its owner in a rope rescue by Coastguard Rescue Officers.
“HM Coastguard was informed at about 11.05am on 29 October and sent Portsoy, Buckie and Macduff Coastguard Rescue Teams and the RNLI’s inshore lifeboat from Macduff.”
