A man has suffered serious injuries and a dog has died after being hit by a motorbike in Fife.
The man was walking the dog on Chapel Level in Kirkcaldy around 8.10pm on Monday when they were hit by a motorcyclist riding a Kawasaki ZR750 bike.
A 39-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with “serious but non-life threatening injuries”.
The dog was killed at the scene and the motorcyclist was uninjured.
Police closed the road for over three hours while crash investigations took place and are now appealing for witnesses.
Sergeant Tom Aitken, of the Fife Road Policing Unit, said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances which led to this collision and would urge anyone with information to come forward.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3350 of September 23, 2024.”
