Around 40 firefighters are tackling a blaze at commercial premises in an Aberdeenshire village.

Emergency services were called to Auchry Road in Cuminestown at around 8.10am on Saturday.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said eight appliances were at the scene in the village, near Turiff.

Police advised people to avoid the area and asked local residents to remain indoors and keep doors and windows closed.

Auchry Road has been closed and local diversions put in place while emergency services deal with the incident.
