A driver has been charged after a car led police in a pursuit in Aberdeen after being “driven erratically with no number plates”.

Officers received a report of a black Honda CRV car being driven erratically on Auchmill Road in Aberdeen with no number plates displayed.

The driver failed to stop and police pursued for a short time before using a stinger device to bring the car to a stop on Back Hilton Road.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences following the incident.

He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 13.

A Police Scotland statement read: “A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences after police received a report of a black Honda CRV car being driven erratically with no number plates being displayed.

“Road policing officers traced the vehicle on Auchmill Road, Aberdeen, however, it failed to stop for officers.

“The car was pursued for a short time before officers deployed a stinger device on Back Hilton Road, which brought the car to a stop.

“The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 13, 2025.”
