Drivers issued warning as A9 closed in both directions after crash

A section of the A9 has been closed in both directions following a crash near Pitlochry.

Police were called to the scene at around 9.30am on Thursday.

Drivers have been advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes until further notice.

Emergency services are on route to the scene.

A Police Scotland statement read: “The A9 is closed in both directions at Pitlochry following a crash involving two vehicles.

“Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9.30am on Thursday, 28 May, 2026.

“Motorists are asked to avoid the area where possible.”
