The A90 has opened back up in both directions after a woman’s body was found on the road in Dundee.
Emergency crews were called to the Kingsway West near Macalpine Road at around 10.35pm on Thursday (July 27).
The body of a 28-year-old woman was recovered and her next of kin were made aware, police said.
The road between Coupar Angus Interchange and Strathmartine Roundabout, at Clepington Road Roundabout, was opened at around 5pm on Friday.
Police are currently treating the death as unexplained.
Traffic Scotland said the route was previously shut due to a “serious collision”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.35pm on Thursday, July 27, 2023, police were called to the A90 Kingsway West in Dundee, near Macalpine Road, following the recovery of the body of a 28-year-old woman.
“Next of kin have been made aware and the death is being treated as unexplained, pending further enquiries. The road remains closed as the investigation continues.
“Anyone who was in the area on the night of Thursday, July 27, and has any information, or possible dashcam footage, is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident 4314 of July 27, 2023.”
