Cars stolen from outside home may have been transported to Edinburgh

Police believe the two vehicles were moved to the capital after being taken from the street in Dundee.

Two cars stolen from a property in Dundee are thought to be in Edinburgh, according to police.

The black Volkswagen Golf, with the registration plate RO70 RVP, and silver Mercedes, bearing the R50 DTT plate, was taken from Westerton Avenue in the early hours of Thursday, August 24.

Investigators believe the vehicles may have been transported to the capital and have now launched an appeal to find then.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “We are appealing to anyone who has seen these vehicles to get in touch. 

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 0570 of August 24.”
