A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing occurred in Dundee in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the Fairbairn Street area of the city at around 4.20am following the serious assault of a 37-year-old man.
He has been taken to hospital where his injuries are described as serious, but not life threatening.
A police presence remains in the area and enquiries are currently ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.20am on Wednesday, March 5, 2023, police were called to the Fairbairn Street area of Dundee, following the serious assault of a 37-year-old man.
“He has been taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries. Police remain in the area and enquiries are ongoing.”
