Road closed after pedestrian knocked down by car

Emergency services were called to Old Glamis Road in Dundee.

A road in Dundee has been closed after a pedestrian was struck by a car on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to Old Glamis Road between the roundabouts on the Kingsway and Gillburn Road at around 1.05pm.

Police are on the scene and the road has been shut by officers.

Road users have been urged to avoid the area and use an alternative route.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Old Glamis Road in Dundee is closed between the roundabouts on Kingsway and Gillburn Road following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian, which was reported around 1.05pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

“Emergency services are in attendance.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
