Dundonians have been showing off their pedal power for the city’s 17th annual cyclathon .
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Claverhouse, started on Sunday and lasts until September 19.
The Dundee Cyclathon attracts all age groups and abilities.
Cyclists can pedal as often and as far as they want during the fortnight – either outdoors on their bikes or indoors on their exercise bikes.
Rotary ClubAll money raised through the event will go to the STV Children’s Appeal to support the one in four children in Scotland living in poverty, worsened by the effects of the pandemic.
Organiser Ian Balgowan said: “It has been tremendous to see the response to this year’s cyclathon.

“We want 2021 to be the best year yet to show our young kiddies in need that we are behind them all the way”
Rotary ClubThe youngest entrants attending the launch were Daniel Alexander, four, and James Wilkie, seven.
Daniel has only learned to cycle without stabilisers but is determined to raise money for children less fortunate than himself.
Equally determined, James aims to cycle around Loch Leven and travel every day to school and back to raise sponsorship for his efforts.
James said: “I want to travel a long way and cycle more miles than granny and grandad can pay”.
