Eight people have required treatment and two air ambulances were dispatched after a crash between a bus and a lorry.
A large emergency service response descended on the A95, near Ballindalloch, at around 10.15am on Thursday after receiving reports of a collision between the two vehicles.
Three people were airlifted to Dr Grey’s Hospital, while one person was flown in a separate ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.
The current condition of those taken to hospital is unknown at this stage.
Four people were treated at the scene by on the ground paramedics.
The A95 Bridge of Avon remains closed in both directions and drivers have been urged to find alternative routes.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.03am to attend an incident on A95 near Ballindalloch.
“A range of resources were dispatched to the scene, including two air ambulances.
“Three patients were transported to Dr Grey’s Hospital, one patient to Raigmore Hospital and four patients were treated on scene.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15am on Thursday, May 18, police were called to a report of a crash involving a bus and a lorry on the A95 near Ballindalloch.
“Road closures are currently in place southbound from the A941 Elgin to the A95 Bridge of Avon. The A95 is also closed northbound from A95 Grantown-on-Spey at the junction with A939.
“Local diversions will be in place.”
