An elderly man has been taken to hospital after being struck by an unoccupied car near a Fife primary school.
Emergency services were called to Hill Road in Ballingry, Lochgelly, around 9.10am on Tuesday morning.
An 85-year-old man had been struck by the car, which had rolled down Hill Road, near to St Kenneth’s RC Primary School.
He was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10am on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, we were called to a report of a man struck by an unoccupied car which had rolled down Hill Road, Ballingry, Lochgelly.
“The 85-year-old man was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.”
