An elderly woman has been taken to hospital following a car crash in Angus.
The incident occurred on Kinloch Street in Carnoustie at around 11.35am on Thursday.
Images from the scene showed a blue car which had flipped onto its roof, and the road was closed until 1.45pm.
Police said the elderly woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by ambulance, where her condition is currently unknown.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.39am on Thursday, April 13 to reports of a collision involving two cars at Kinloch Street, Carnoustie.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.
“One casualty was in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Serivice said: “We received a call today at 11.41am to attend an incident on Kinloch Street in Carnoustie.
“We dispatched one ambulance and our special operations team (SORT) to the scene. We transported one female patient to Ninewells.”
