Emergency services are battling a wildfire in Aberdeen after it took hold on Thursday.
Scottish Fire and Rescue were alerted to an open grass blaze affecting an area of land in Kincorth Hill Nature Reserve, locally known as the Gramps.
Four appliances are still on the scene attempting to extinguish the blaze.
An image taken from a distance shows thick white smoke billowing into the sky above the north-east city.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We are in attendance at an open grass fire affecting an area of land in Kincorth Hill Nature Reserve, Aberdeen.
“Members of the public no longer need to alert our Operations Control room about this fire.
“We have four appliances on the scene.”
