Emergency services were called to tackle a late night flat fire in Peterhead on Friday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the blaze at a two-storey building on Forrest Place at around 8.41pm.
Two engines were initially sent to battle the flames, however, another appliance was dispatched to assist with the operation.
Fire crews left the scene after making it safe at around 9.44pm. A video of the incident shows a large number of police vehicles and ambulance services also in attendance.
A 66-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment, her condition is not known.
An investigation is ongoing, however, the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9pm on Sunday, March 22, to attend an incident on Forrest Place, Peterhead. We dispatched an ambulance to the scene, and we transported one patient to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
Police Scotland said: “Around 9pm on Sunday, March 22, 2026, we were called to a report of a property on Forrest Place, Peterhead.
“A 66-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing, however, there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.”
