Emergency services were dispatched to a road in Aberdeen following a hazmat incident.

Police were called to a property on Cairncry Road at around 3pm after reports of a substance being found.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the incident by police at around 3.05pm.

Four appliances were dispatched to the scene. A stop call was made at 4.55pm, however two appliances remain in the area.

A woman was checked over at the season. No one was injured and there was no risk to the wider public.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that police and ambulance crews are also in attendance.

The substance is not believed to be harmful and an investigation is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Tuesday, July 8, we received a report of a substance found at a property in the Cairncry Road area of Aberdeen.

“Emergency services attended and a woman was checked over by the Scottish Ambulance Service. 

“No one was injured and there was no risk to the wider public. 

“The substance was not believed to be harmful and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
