The children of a woman who was murdered in an Aberdeen home has paid tribute to the “infectiously funny” mum.
Emergency services were called to the property on Bedford Road at around 7.30pm on January 4 after a woman was found injured.
Samantha Lee was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are now treating the 54-year-old’s death as murder.
In a statement, her children said: “Our mum Sam, who always put her family first, was an incredible nanny, loving, patient and endlessly caring.
“She was infectiously funny, she had a rare ability to light up any room and make people feel at ease, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and treasured memories that will never be forgotten.”
Joseph Greer appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged with murder and breach of bail in connection with the death.
The 39-year-old from Aberdeen made no plea and was remanded in custody.
