STV NewsA father who died after being attacked by a dog in Angus has been named locally as Adam Watts.
The incident happened at Kirkton of Auchterhouse, around five miles north of Dundee, at around 1.10pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services attended but Mr Watts, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene.
One local councillor told STV News the community had been left in a state of shock.
Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
