STV NewsFire crews raced to extinguish a fire at a laundrette in Blairgowrie on Friday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called to reports of a building fire on Emma Street at 7:20pm.
Six fire engines were deployed, and crews remain at the scene of the blaze.
No injuries have been reported and members of the public have been asked to avoid the area.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “Firefighters are at the scene of a laundrette in Blairgowrie which caught fire earlier this evening.”
“Emergency services were called to the premises on Emma Street at 7:20pm after reports that the building was ablaze.
“Surrounding roads are closed and police are asking the public to avoid the area. There are no reports of any injuries.”
A police spokesperson said: “Police Scotland are at present assisting Scottish Fire and Rescue at a fire in the Blairgowrie area.
“Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.”
“Residents are also advised to close their windows due to the amount of smoke in the area. Anyone with a drone is advised to avoid the area of the fire.”
