Fire crews are tackling a “deliberate” blaze which broke out in a property in a village in Perth and Kinross.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called around 3.49am to reports of a dwelling fire affecting a ground-floor property in Errol.
Police Scotland confirmed the A90 was shut at Monks Walk, with members of the public being urged to avoid the area.
Officers say the fire is being treated as wilful.
Fire crews sent four fire appliances, including a high-reach vehicle, to the scene.
There are no reported casualties at this stage, with crews still in attendance.
A Police Scotland statement read: “The road between Monks Walk and the A90, Errol remains closed due to a fire, reported at around 3.55am on Monday, December 29.
“There were no reports of any injuries. The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.
“Please avoid the area.”
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 3.49am to reports of a dwelling fire in Errol.
“Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances, including a high-reach vehicle, to the scene where firefighters are working to extinguish a fire affecting the ground-floor property.
“There were no reported casualties at this stage, and crews remain in attendance.”
