Firefighters are tackling another blaze at Lossiemouth quarry after a spate of deliberate fires in recent weeks.
Emergency services were called to the quarry around 7pm on Thursday, following several fires in the area since August 22, many of which are believed to be wilful.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said six appliances and a specialist resource were sent to the scene and crews are working to extinguish the fire.
The blaze is affecting a large area of gorse within the quarry.

Police Scotland said the A941 is closed in both directions between the B9103 and the B9135.
Nearby residents are being asked to keep windows and doors closed and drivers urged to avoid the area.
Police said earlier this month that local landowners are being encouraged to add additional fire protection for nearby properties.
Emergency services have also delivered safety talks at secondary schools, and patrols of the quarry have been routinely carried out before, during and after school.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Six fire appliances and a specialist resource are in attendance at a fire affecting a large area of gorse within a quarry on the A941 near Lossiemouth.
“There are no reported casualties.
“Due to smoke in the area, residents of nearby Lossiemouth are urged to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution.”
A Police Scotland statement read: “The A941 is closed in both directions between the B9103 and the B9135 following a report of a fire at a premises in Lossiemouth around 7.20pm on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
“Emergency services are in attendance and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
“Nearby residents are being asked to keep windows closed.”
